A small steam tractor with powerful duplex engine. Wet bottom firebox. Differential. Sprung footplate. Unique water and coal tender with steering wheels. About 5 tons.
Engine completely overhauled 1999. Boilerwork, motionwork, new canopy and tender all to the original Reeves drawings.
Steams and drives exceptionally well. She has been well restored and maintained and runs quietly.
The Reeves Company was established in Columbus, Indiana in 1874 to build threshing machines. In 1894 they hired Harry C. Clay to design a line of steam engines. The company continued production until 1912 when it was purchased by Emerson - Brantingham but Reeves products continued to be produced until 1925.
