Portable restoration.

The portable boiler work is all but completed - just tube fitted left and then getting ready for hydraulic. Here are a few photos of the work done.

The axle assemblies and crank assembly arrived for the next stage after boiler work.

The engine now led on its' side awaiting tube fitting.

The box for the portable is done now. This shows the girder stays on top of the new box. The original ones have been used with new bolts and nuts to hold them on. You can see we are marking out to cut the tube holes.

 
Outer with z-ring awaiting the next stage now. Old firebox can be seen in the background. The new one is the next thing.

 

 
A section had to be cut away in the throat plate. This is the new section part way through fitting.

 

This is the new lap seam barrell - now with the pads and front perch bracket being fitted.
